Wow! It has been a while!! I have been consumed by life and not had much time for business lately, so I have some catching up to do!! This week, I'll be posting pictures of the new spring pieces that will be available March 1st! Hard to believe, but that is only 5 weeks away!

Sorry it's been so long! It is crazy, crazy, crazy here! We have gone through a job transition ( my husbands), the beginnings of a bathroom remodel (a pipe broke), sickness, and many many things to sew. I guess the last I can't complain about. Good news! Things are ready ahead of schedule and the new spring pieces will start to appear in my etsy shop this week rather than having to wait until next Monday! Yippeee! I'm so excited, I want some warm weather to dress my little princess up in some of the new pieces. :)

Happy birthday to my dad! He is 48 today which seems so young to have two grown kids and almost 3 grand kids. Still we tease him for being old since we are the kids, and isn't that our job? I am sure that my three will do the same as I get older.

This weekend, I cut of the end of my finger and part of the finger nail. Ouch! Not to worry, though! Everyone will still get their orders on time!

I will leave you with a picture of my dad and sweet baby girl! This picture is about 3 years old.

My dad looks much the same, but my girl is much different of course. Sweet memories! :)

Well, with 70 and 80 degree weather fore casted here for this week, I feel like my spring line should have been out about a month ago! Good news, though. I have all the pieces done and it is just a matter of getting the photography and catalog done! The projected date for the season opening trunk show is March 21, so mark your calendars. After a few months of trying to figure out the future of Eliza Kate Designs, we are back on track, though a bit behind on the spring/summer line. If you are not aware of the CSPIA, it is the new law regarding lead and phthalate testing on children's items. This is what had been us debating if we could even afford testing and still be profitable. At the moment, the testing requirements have been stayed for a year, so hopefully there will be an exemption for things like cotton textiles that by nature do not contain lead or phthalates before the deadline enxt year comes back around. I can assure that I have checked with the fabric manufacturers of the material used in Eliza Kate Designs about the testing and they have confirmed that their fabrics have been tested already and are safe.

The season opening trunk show will tentatively be sheduled in the end of March. Sneak peeks of the new line soon to come. . . I will say that it is fabulous, of course, and I am really excited about all the new pieces and how they are coming together!

We just had a fabulous time at our very first Eliza Kate Winter Trunk Show! It was a fabulous time of visiting, sipping delicious tea and watching some absolutely adorable models march around throughout the tea house! Thanks to A Spot for Tea for hosting this event!
